About This Programme
The Higher Certificate in Elder Care Administration and Welfare Governance Brenvale Professional Standard develops practical competence for respectful, safe and well-organised support of older adults. It combines daily-care coordination with welfare governance, rights protection, family partnership and quality improvement. Tuition is USD 175.
Learners explore healthy ageing, functional change, dementia-aware support, social connection, nutrition, mobility, safeguarding, consent, capacity, end-of-life sensitivity, confidentiality and referral boundaries. The programme supports work across home care, residential care, community support and welfare administration, subject to local registration and employer requirements.
The course emphasises that care administrators and support workers must not diagnose, prescribe or perform regulated clinical tasks outside their legal scope. Good administration makes care safer by ensuring the right information reaches the right authorised professional at the right time.
Assessment includes case-based checks, welfare-governance exercises, a care coordination portfolio and a final elder-wellbeing service plan.
